Modelling and Analysis of Torque Vectoring Differential Kinematics

Torque Vectoring Differentials (TVDs) facilitate torque distribution to individual wheels, thus improving the vehicle dynamics control performance. This paper describes kinematic structures of four different TVD concepts and utilizes bond graph method to derive TVD kinematics models. Based on the developed models, a comparative analysis of TVD kinematics for different operating modes is conducted.
