Research → Mechatronic systems

The mechatronics is a synthesis of mechanics, electronics and control systems, that gives better products and technologies through synergistic effects of their integration. The education on mechatronics should present how to describe a system by an adequate mathematical model, how to analyse the system by model simulation, how some parameters of the construction influence dynamical and control characteristics of the system, how to integrate sensors and actuators with control computer or microprocessor, and finally, how to design control system in order to achieve required performances. Several balancing mechanisms have been developed by the help of students, and they have been employed in education and research on mechatronics, automatic control, and hydraulics and pneumatics. A particularity of developed mechanisms is their pneumatic drive.
